Every time you’re about to experience a real breakthrough — real healing, real growth, real change — one pattern will resurface to pull you back. It happens every single time. In this episode, I explain why your body and mind function like a vinyl record — a collection of layered memory going back generations — and why that record can never play a new song. I share the one pattern that kept me stuck for over three decades: self-abandonment. And I tell the story of the phone call that came at the exact moment I was launching my life’s work — a call that forced me to choose between the familiar pull of my past and the life I knew I was meant to step into. If you keep finding yourself back in the same cycle right when things are about to change, this one names what’s underneath it.
Most people who say they want transformation don't actually want it. What they really want is for someone or something to come along and do the work for them. In this episode, I break down three characteristics of people who want to be rescued — including an addiction to struggle most people don't even realize they have — and I contrast them with three characteristics of people who are truly hungry for empowerment. I share a conversation where I asked someone point-blank if they'd be okay with a life of zero problems, and their answer revealed everything. I also share what a 500-mile pilgrimage across Spain taught me about the one thing that separates people who quit from people who transform. If you've ever suspected that part of you would rather stay comfortable than become free, this one's for you.
What if the conflicts you keep having aren’t really about the other person? What if the arguments, the frustrations, the situations you can’t let go of — what if they’re actually an addiction? In this episode, I break down why we get hooked on conflict, how a nervous system operating from fear outsources your power to the very things you’re fighting against, and the rule of energy that explains why the same patterns keep repeating — in your relationships, your career, and your inner life. I also trace how this same cycle plays out on a national scale, because the patterns running in geopolitics are the same ones running in you. The world changes when you do.
What if being nice isn't the virtue you've been told it is? In this solo episode, I share a personal story about a friendship where my own niceness was actually enabling someone I cared about — and what happened when I chose kindness over comfort. I also break down three ancient words that share the same Latin root, and when you see what that root means, it changes how you understand authenticity forever. If you've ever been called "the nice one" and felt something off about it, this one's for you.
What if the most powerful pharmacy on earth is already inside you — and so is the most dangerous poison? In this episode, I break down the placebo and nocebo effect through two extraordinary true stories: a cancer patient whose tumors shrank on sugar pills, and a man who died after a terminal diagnosis that turned out to be wrong. I explain why your mind functions like a script your body follows without question, and why stress is actually a form of resistance to life force energy. If you've ever wondered whether your thoughts are making you sick — or whether they could heal you — this episode names the mechanism behind both.

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I have a conversation with a very unlikely medium named Isabeau Maxwell. This was the first of many encounters with her deceased grandmother.

What happens to us after we die?
For many people, this question is relegated to religious beliefs or intellectual conjecture. Almost no one speaks from their own personal experience because they have not yet died in this life.
There are some people, however, that have experienced their own death and miraculously have returned to speak of their conscious memories of their experience beyond their bodies.
On this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I interview an amazing woman who died in a severe car accident and was resuscitated with a profound life altering experience beyond her body.
It’s not too often that you talk to someone who has died and consciously experienced life beyond the body, so I invite you to listen in closely to this episode.

I recently had the privilege of interviewing country music artist, national TV host, author and media coach Amy Scruggs about her success as a musician (she’s been in the country music industry for more than 15 years opening for artists like Clint Black, Trace Adkins, Charlie Daniels, etc… and currently has a newly released single that is charting globally. In addition to her career in the music industry, Amy also thrives in the media world having been the host of several national TV shows.
Amy’s story is the very embodiment of the main message in my book ‘Living for a Living’. You won’t feel fulfilled if you’re just existing to pay the bills. We need to shift our focus beyond simply surviving, to discovering the ‘Why’ of our very existence. Amy’s story is truly miraculous and she is an example for all of us on how knowing our deepest ‘Why’ in life can lead to a fulfilling career of service to others.

When we hear the word 'betrayal', we might simply think of infidelity or an affair. While that is most certainly a form of betrayal, that is only one form of betrayal. Betrayal can be experienced in many different ways by a variety of different people.
When a parent, a friend, a business partner, a spouse, etc... doesn't show up for us in a way that we needed, or when we experience a sense of abandonment from a trusted source, that too is betrayal. Almost all of us have experienced betrayal at some level.
Contrary to popular belief, betrayal isn't something from which you can simply 'forgive' and move forward on an intellectual basis. Unless we address the roots of betrayal, we stay stuck in patterns of insecurity, fear, anger, sadness, a lack of trust, physical disease and illness, and much much more.
In order to heal from betrayal, our sense of 'Self' has to be completely reconstructed. In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal, I sit down with Dr. Debi Silber to talk more about this all important subject.
Dr. Debi Silber is the founder of the Post Betrayal Transformation Institute and is a holistic psychologist, a health, mindset and personal development expert, and the author of the #1 bestselling book: The Unshakable Woman: 4 Steps to Rebuilding Your Body, Mind and Life After a Life Crisis

What does international terrorism have in common with our own political behaviors and mindsets when it comes to how 'progressives / liberals' and 'conservatives' interact and see one another? More than you may think.
This episode of The Love Cast with Jamal is a historic episode as I sit down with former CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) Analyst Brent Giannotta.
This is the first time I had the opportunity to interview a former CIA analyst on the The Love Cast with Jamal podcast. What Brent learned in the CIA has implications for all of us.
In this episode, we discuss why the roots of 'terror' actually reside in the uncomfortable fact that we all have been programmed to see the world through the primative lens of 'good' vs 'evil'.
As a result, the roots of terror lay much closer to home, possibly even within ourselves. Give this episode a careful listen HERE.
